Kampf GmbH has announced that it will close the site of Kampf LSF GmbH & Co. KG site in Laußig on 31 December 2025. This will affect 62 employees, who previously manufactured special machines for the packaging industry, among other things.

Kampf GmbH will shut down its site in Laußig at the end of 2025. The company justifies this step with economic and market-related factors that make it no longer viable to continue operations. There are currently 62 employees at the site in Saxony, who manufacture special machines for the packaging, energy and automotive industries, among others.

Measure to increase competitiveness

According to the company, a persistently weak economy and a sharp decline in demand in the battery sector, particularly in the field of electromobility, led to considerable burdens. The product range manufactured at the site has been under significant pressure for some time. In recent months, the management has examined various options such as restructuring or rededication, but has not found a viable solution.

Focus on socially responsible solutions

The company emphasises that it will implement the closure with the greatest possible social responsibility. Together with the works council, HR department and the relevant authorities, a reconciliation of interests and social plan is currently being drawn up. The other locations of the Kampf Group are not affected by the measure.
