BoxonTech is continuing its international growth course with a new production and sales structure in the United States. After entering the Spanish market, the Scandinavian company is now establishing local capacities in Tennessee and Michigan to serve customers in the North American automotive industry more directly.

BoxonTech, Helsingborg/Sweden, is pushing ahead with its international expansion and focussing on the US market. The company has set up a new operating unit in the United States, which combines local production and warehousing in the state of Tennessee with a sales and customer service office in Detroit. BoxonTech is thus positioning itself in close proximity to key locations in the North American automotive industry.

According to the company, the move is aimed at supporting customers where they produce and at the same time shortening transport routes. The local presence is intended to reduce delivery times and enable more sustainable packaging solutions.

Niklas Rönnäng, Managing Director at BoxonTech, describes the market entry as a logical development of the company's strategy. „The USA is a key market for the automotive industry - and a logical next step for BoxonTech,“ said Rönnäng. By establishing local production and sales structures, the company can react more quickly, reduce transport distances and support customers in achieving their sustainability goals.

The US organisation is headed by Mark Miskerik as General Manager and serves customers in the USA, Canada and Mexico. According to BoxonTech, the range of services includes manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and technical support. Operations began in October 2025 and are now fully operational.

Partnership model and regional production

The expansion in the USA is based on a strategic partnership with a regional production partner in Tennessee. This collaboration is intended to ensure efficient production, regional reach and scalability. According to the company, the office in Detroit serves to work more closely with customers in the North American automotive cluster.

Mark Miskerik explained that the goal is to combine global experience with local flexibility. „Being close to our customers in North America allows us to deliver the same high standards of quality, sustainability and service that BoxonTech is known for worldwide,“ said Miskerik.

Circular approach as a growth driver

A central element of the international growth strategy is BoxonTech's closed FrameTray system. According to the company, the packaging trays used are fully recycled close to the customer and fed back into the production cycle. This circular model is designed to cut costs, make processes more efficient and reduce the environmental impact.
