The Mondi Group has appointed Erik Bouts as CEO of the Fibre Packaging business unit with effect from 1 April 2017. He succeeds Jussi Vanhanen at Mondi, who is taking over the management of a private equity company in Finland.
Until recently, Mr Bouts, who is Dutch, was the global head of Ball Corporation's Global Metal Beverage Packaging division. Prior to that, he was responsible for the EMEA region for Owens-Illinois Inc, a manufacturer of glass containers.

This business unit of the Mondi Group comprises the three business segments Industrial Bags, Corrugated Packaging and Extrusion Coatings and produces corrugated packaging, industrial sacks and extrusion coatings - both for the consumer goods sector and for various industrial applications.
