Gelsenkirchen-based Kommissionier- und Handhabungstechnik GmbH (KHT) will be highlighting two trade fair innovations at LogiMAT 2019. At its trade fair stand, KHT will be presenting the „Multiscan“ mobile picking station and the „Texpress“ module, two systems that help to optimise the use of scarce warehouse space.
Multiscan and Texpress are suitable for use in industrial environments and, when combined, are particularly interesting for companies in the textile industry. The Multiscan determines the data of the inspected product with millimetre precision at the touch of a button. To do this, it stands on a mains-independent transport trolley with infrared light barriers and an integrated calibratable scale. The appropriate packaging can be selected based on the data.
The Texpress module in turn compresses Textiles during measurement and calculates the correct shipping and storage volume in the same operation.
High-quality data is becoming increasingly important in digitalisation
„The importance of high-quality data is increasing with the advancing Digitisation continues to grow,“ says Christian Bauer, Managing Director of Kommissionier- und Handhabungstechnik GmbH. This development is being driven in particular by the rapidly growing e-commerce sector. However, companies from other sectors that want to optimise processes along their logistics chain are also dependent on precise item data.
In addition to the mobile solutions, KHT will be presenting LogiMAT also a stationary Recording station for roller and belt conveyors: the ProfileScan. This is a measuring frame that recognises, checks and classifies products based on their shape - at a throughput speed of up to two metres per second. The data obtained can be used to control material flows, assess the quality of transported goods and measure product dimensions, for example.
