According to the organiser and the majority of the 153 exhibiting companies, „InPrint 2017“ from 14 to 16 November 2017 in Munich was a success. Four companies were honoured with the „InPrint 2017 Innovation Awards“ during the trade fair.

According to the organiser and the majority of the 153 exhibiting companies, „InPrint 2017“ from 14 to 16 November 2017 in Munich was a success. 2,951 visitors came to find out about the latest trends in industrial printing technology applications. At the previous „InPrint“ in Munich in 2015, the number of visitors was reported at 3,400. Four companies were honoured with the „InPrint 2017 Innovation Awards“ during the trade fair.

„What we can conclude from this year's event is that the ‚InPrint‘ has developed from a pure networking event into a trade fair with a networking aspect, with a good increase in sales at the trade fair stands,“ said Nicola Hamann, Managing Director of organiser Mack Brooks Exhibitions, summing up the trade fair. Part of the concept of the trade fair is that trade visitors can network with inventors, integrators and production experts. This year, the trade fair stands will be showing significantly more specific Printing solutions for integration into production lines were presented. One of the major topics at the trade fair was the increasing Individualisation of products and materials in the industrial production process.

60 per cent of the visitors were print specialists, seven per cent from the packaging industry

The exhibitors travelled from 19 countries and presented all common printing technologies - from the Screen, digital and inkjet printing through to special processes. Among other things, applications for the Automotive industry but also for industries such as interior design, fashion, electronics and household goods production, toys, sporting goods and medicine, Food, ceramics and much more.

The audience was international and, according to the organisers, the majority came from neighbouring countries. In total, visitors from 63 countries registered. 1,834 trade fair visitors found their way to „InPrint“ because they had previously attended the „productronica“ had visited. 60 per cent of the visitors were print specialists. Seven per cent worked in the Packaging area.

Lifetime achievement award for Sophie Matthews-Paul

The trade fair programme was accompanied by specialist presentations, expert panels and a panel discussion in two conference theatres. On the first day of the fair, the „InPrint 2017 Innovation Awards“ award. The award honoured the work of four companies in the industrial printing and manufacturing sector. „InPrint“ founder Marcus Timson and Graham Kennedy from award sponsor Ricoh were honoured in the „Innovative Partnerships“ category „CEFLA“ from Italy and Tonejet from Great Britain. „Sioen Chemicals“ from Belgium and „Thallosjet“ from Italy were the winners in the „Exceptional Products“ category. „InPrint“ ambassador Sophie Matthews-Paul received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her life's work and her extraordinary contribution to the development of printing technology.
