The globally active Heinz-Glas Group is starting the second half of 2021 with confidence: after a corona-related crisis, which was exacerbated by the accident at a glass melting furnace at the Polish site in Dzialdowo, the company is now back to pre-crisis levels.
The company, headquartered in Kleintettau, has adapted its product portfolio during the crisis: Two years ago, the family-run company was still focussing heavily on the production of fine and luxurious perfume bottles, but the product mix has now also shifted towards Skin Care, Lifestyle, Home Fragrance and Spirits changed.
According to the Heinz-Glas Group, its strengths lie primarily in its global range of all glass qualities, Complete packaging solutions made of plastic and glass and Sustainable decoration options. The company utilises its global presence in such a way that production is relocated to the respective location that makes sense for the item. And capacities are well utilised: According to the company, glass production and finishing have been working at almost full capacity since the beginning of the year.
Heinz-Glas expands its international presence
The company reached a major milestone just a few weeks ago in Changzhou, China. The construction of the furnace at the newly built production site in Jiangsu province began at the end of July. As early as the beginning of 2022 High-quality glass from the production line are underway. Expansion into South America is also in full swing: an office building, warehouse space and a finishing hall are being built in Brazil. A joint venture in India is currently running at full capacity and is seen as an important success factor for supplying the local Indian and Indonesian markets and for price-sensitive products for the mass market. The furnace in Dzialdowo, Poland, which was affected by major damage, was also rebuilt so that the Resumption of regular production can take place this year.
