
With Parade Label SG, the paper company Sappi is launching a one-side coated facestock paper for self-adhesive labels onto the market. The product is approved for direct food contact, but is also suitable for use in the non-food or cosmetics sector.
Sappi offers an extensive range of papers for wet-glue and self-adhesive labels. With the new Parade Label SG, the company now presents a one-side coated, semi-gloss facestock label paperthat authorised for direct contact with food and fulfils DIN EN 71 for the safety of toys. Applications include labelling, food, non-food, beverages, health and beauty care products. Thanks to the printing properties of thermal transfer printing it is also suitable for logistics and for printing variable information.
New equipment for plant in Gratkorn
This fresh fibre-based facestock solution guarantees high-quality results throughout the entire production and processing chain. According to the company, it has high rigidity and resistanceso that the label is not damaged even after labelling and sits accurately.
To ensure 100 per cent availability and fast delivery of its label papers, Sappi has set itself up for the future and laid the foundations for reliable production and seamless supply chains with the Alfeld, Carmignano and Condino mills. The plant in Gratkorn, where Sappi has invested in new technical equipment, has now been added. In addition to the existing graphic papers, the available capacity will be successively expanded to include the production of Parade Label label papers.
