The VPK Group has fully acquired the Fencor Packaging Group, including its subsidiary Manor Packaging. Following the acquisition of a minority stake in 2024, the Belgian packaging group now holds 100 percent of the shares. With this transaction, VPK is strengthening its position in the UK corrugated packaging market.
Manor Packaging operates a manufacturing site as well as warehousing and logistics facilities in Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire. The company supplies customers throughout the UK. According to VPK, Manor Packaging will continue to operate as a standalone company within the group. This is intended to ensure continuity for customers and employees.
Martin Taylor, Managing Director VPK UK & Ireland, explained: „Manor Packaging is a well-invested and agile company, known for its high service levels and close customer relationships. We look forward to supporting the company in its next phase of growth.“
Succession in Management Regulated
The takeover comes against the backdrop of an impending leadership change at Fencor. David Orr, Fencor's Group Managing Director, will be retiring after 26 years at the helm of the company.
„We are pleased that Manor Packaging is becoming part of a long-term, family-run business with similar values and a strong presence in the UK. This creates a solid foundation for the company and its employees to continue to grow and support customers with a high level of service and added value in the future,“ said Orr.
Tony Clifton, the company's Sales Director, will take over the operational management of Manor Packaging. He will continue to run the business as Managing Director.
With the full takeover, VPK further expands its presence in the British corrugated board market. A close business relationship with Manor Packaging already exists today through Corrboard UK, in which VPK holds a majority stake.
