After 140 years of company history, Baden Board finally came to an end last month. The cardboard and packaging manufacturer from the Murg Valley had to close for good. Now the company's machines are going under the hammer.

The insolvency administrator has commissioned the Hamburg auction house Dechow to sell the fixed assets. These include specialised machinery and equipment for paper and cardboard production. The aim is to generate buyers for the machines and systems for more than 1,000 lots worldwide. To this end, the auction platform Troostwijk utilised.

The machines and systems from Baden Board GmbH include board production machines, stock preparation systems, slitter-winders and rewinders, packaging systems and laboratory equipment for paper production. According to Dechow, prospective buyers will be able to gain an impression directly on site.

Around 280 people are affected by the Baden Board closure. The company is said to have had well-filled order books recently, but production was no longer profitable due to the rise in energy prices.
