
Packaging and labelling paper manufacturer Feldmuehle has started to implement investments totalling around four million euros despite the fluctuations on the energy and raw materials markets. A new, high-performance mill system has already been installed and put into operation.

Modernisation of the equipment

The centrepiece is a new, significantly more energy-efficient and modern embossing calender. Commissioning of the embossing calender with a correspondingly adapted environment is scheduled for Q1/2023, with an investment volume of 2.8 million euros.
As part of a logistics project, all diesel and gas-powered industrial trucks were replaced with modern, efficient electric vehicles and, in order to reduce waiting times for hauliers, doubled the number of available loading ramps.
All measures - further projects are currently being prepared in accordance with the rolling 5-year plan - are based on the fundamental idea, the Making the site more sustainable and energy-efficient.
