„ICE Europe 2019“ with new area for speciality films and extrusion

Next year's leading trade fair for the converting industry „ICE Europe 2019“ in Munich will feature a special area for speciality films and extrusion.

Speciality films offer a lot of growth potential, according to the organisers of „ICE Europe 2019“. This is why there will be a special area for special films and extrusion at next year's eleventh edition of the leading international trade fair for the converting industry in Munich from 12 to 14 March 2019.

„For the Converting industry offer the diverse areas of application of Special foils great business potential in completely new markets,“ says trade fair director Liljana Goszdziewski from the organiser „Mack Brooks Exhibitions“. Special films are being used more and more, for example in medical technology, smartphone production, for safety purposes, for the production of battery electrodes, for hygiene protection or in building technology.

Almost all types of speciality films will be presented at „ICE Europe 2018“, from Battery separator films about Biopolymer films up to optical foils and weather-resistant films. On the extrusion lines side there are Extrusion welding machines and Extrusion machines for blown film, flat film and sheets.

However, „ICE Europe“ will continue to cover all the main areas and manufacturing processes of the Converting of web-shaped materials such as paper, film, foil and nonwovens. The exhibiting companies will present various materials as well as processes such as coating and laminating, drying and curing. Cutting and wrapping techniques are shown, various Printing process as well. Retrofitting, contract processing and finishing, inspection, measuring and testing systems and much more also play a role.

90 per cent of the net exhibition space has already been reserved

A good year before the event, almost 90 percent of the exhibition space from the previous trade fair has already been booked and reserved, according to the organiser. In total 429 Exhibitors from 28 countries occupied a total of 11,000 square metres of net exhibition space at „ICE Europe 2017“. 6,850 trade visitors from 70 countries were counted.

Parallel to „ICE Europe 2019“ in Halls A5 and A6 of the Munich exhibition centre, the fourth „CCE International“, which Trade fair for the corrugated board and folding carton industry.
