The mechanical engineering company Multivac has received the silver medal from EcoVadis. Among other things, the rating agency honoured the company's commitment to labour and human rights.
Multivac was assessed by EcoVadis for the first time this year and awarded a silver medal. This puts the processing and packaging specialist in the top 25 per cent of companies analysed by EcoVadis.
The intensive review of various requirements in the areas of the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement provides a transparent picture of the current status of sustainability performance and possible potential for improvement. „As an internationally active company, we see it as our duty, as responsibly as possible with our environment and resources,“ says Alexander Hauschke, Executive Vice President Corporate Strategy at Multivac. „According to the EcoVadis assessment, we are well above the industry average, particularly with regard to the environment and labour and human rights. Our aim is now to build on the potential for improvement that we have identified, to further develop the topic of sustainability accordingly and to continue to improve ourselves on an ongoing basis."
