XSYS will be showcasing its range of solutions for repro houses, printers, retailers and brand owners at drupa. The company will be presenting exclusive new products and software solutions designed to make printing and packaging more sustainable.

„At drupa, XSYS will show how the latest innovations for sustainable printing can be used to create a productive and profitable future. The world of packaging production is changing rapidly. The pressure on printers and converters is increasing and XSYS is here to alleviate these challenges with innovative products and solutions that solve their problems, especially the demand from brand owners, retailers and end consumers for more sustainable packaging.“

Thomas Strohe, Director Commercial Excellence

Other highlights at the drupa-Stand from XSYS belong to Live demonstrations of the award-winning fully automated panel processing line ThermoFlexX Catena+, the Woodpecker surface pattern for improved quality and lower ink consumption as well as the extensive portfolio of precision-manufactured rotec sleeves and adapters for process optimisation. XSYS will present the ’nyloflex eco series‘, a milestone in the production of flexographic printing plates. Visitors will learn how “nyloflex eco' plates not only deliver high print quality and consistency, but also set a new standard in the production of flexographic plates. Reduction of environmental pollution set.

XSYS will also present the recently launched nyloflex FTV plate, an innovation in the flexo plate market. This LED-optimised, inherently flat-top dot plate has been specially developed for the Market for flexible packaging develops and sets new standards with its ability to print the finest stable highlights - up to 0.8 percent at 60 L/cm - and achieve a consistent maximum colour gamut. It ensures brilliant solids and fine details without the need for additional equipment. XSYS will also be showcasing the nyloprint WS Pro plate and the nyloprint WF Sharp, a water-washable, film-based letterpress plate for the high-end labelling market.

The award-winning ThermoFlexX Catena+ will be demonstrated live several times a day at the trade fair. Through the Elimination of human intervention in the process Catena+ is a breakthrough in fully automated and lean plate processing that improves precision, quality and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) with reduced waste. This advanced solution was recently honoured by the FPPA with the 2024 Award for Innovation and Excellence in Prepress. With the nyloflex Xpress Thermal System, customers can also reduce CO2-footprint. Compared to the processing of solvent-based panels, this system contains virtually no volatile organic compounds (VOCs), little energy is consumed and it has up to 30 per cent less fabric in the developer rolls compared to similar solutions.

XSYS also announces new software components for its prepress equipment modules. Catena ProServX is a Cloud-based real-time monitoring tool for proactive maintenance and quality control, which helps customers to optimise their OEE, guarantee the best quality and minimise waste. Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience the impact of Catena Woodpecker surface screening technology through print samples developed in collaboration with leading industry partners. The Woodpecker suite consists of different surface patterns for different printing applications. Woodpecker Nevis optimises white printing in particular, which leads to an increase in opacity and a simultaneous reduction in ink consumption.
