As of 1 September 2024, kaiserkraft, a leading B2B omnichannel retailer, will be under new management. Carsten Rumpf will take over the management of the company and the position of President of the Industrial & Packaging (I&P) division at Takkt AG.
This reorganisation follows the resignation of Sonja Mechling, who is leaving the company at the end of August 2024 for personal reasons. The appointment of Carsten Rumpf comes at a time when the company is facing several challenges. The interim CEO of Takkt AG, Andreas Weishaar, expressed optimism about the future under Rumpf's leadership. He emphasised that Rumpf has Extensive and specific market knowledge and is in a position to align our business even more closely to the needs of our customers and stimulate growth.
Carsten Rumpf brings more than 20 years of international management experience from leading B2B companies with. In his career to date, he has worked for the Berner Group, where he was Head of Omnichannel Trading from 2016 to 2021. There he was significantly responsible for Responsible for sales and marketing and was particularly committed to profitable growth and increasing efficiency in these areas. He gained further relevant experience as Vice President and General Manager at the industrial safety and industrial equipment supplier Brady/Seton, where he was most recently responsible for the commercial business in North America.
Rumpf's experience in the field of Implementation of company-wide transformation processes, which include greater digitalisation and the development of omnichannel strategies. These skills will now help him to stabilise the I&P division in a challenging market environment and return it to profitable growth.

Farewell to Sonja Mechling
Sonja Mechling, who has been Managing Director of kaiserkraft since March 2023, is leaving the company at the end of August 2024 to pursue a new career path. Mechling has been recognised by colleagues and the management of Takkt AG for her achievements in recent months. kaiserkraft has been part of the Industrial & Packaging (I&P) division of Takkt AG since a reorganisation in 2022. This division focuses on a Stronger networking and synergies within the Group. Since May 2024, kaiserkraft's product portfolio has been expanded to include around 20,000 new products from Ratioform. Customers thus receive comprehensive solutions from a single source that go beyond conventional business equipment and cover the entire packaging process.
With its new management team, kaiserkraft believes it is well equipped for the challenges and opportunities ahead in the market. In the coming months, Carsten Rumpf will work on achieving the growth targets and further expanding kaiserkraft's market position.
