Uhlmann creates Group-wide synergies

The Uhlmann Group is reorganising its management level in order to further strengthen the role of the holding company within the Group.

The Uhlmann Group is reorganising its management level in order to further strengthen the role of the holding company within the Group. Matthias Niemeyer, previously CEO of the Uhlmann Group and Uhlmann Pac-Systeme, will focus on managing the holding company in future and will take over as Chairman of the newly established Executive Committee.

This decision-making body is made up of the management teams of the Group companies, including Uhlmann Pac-Systeme, Koch Pac-Systeme, Wonder Packing, Cremer Speciaalmachines and Axito. With the structural reorientation, the holding company aims to realise synergies within the Group and drive forward key topics such as digitalisation and sustainability. The Uhlmann Group, which provides packaging solutions for pharmaceuticals, food, consumer goods and agricultural products, believes it is well positioned to meet future requirements.

Future viability through innovation

According to the Uhlmann Group, developments such as Digitalisation, automation and sustainability central driver in the packaging market. The holding company takes on coordinating tasks and supports the Group companies in implementing the sustainability strategy. At the same time, the Uhlmann Group is part of the Factory X consortium, a project led by Siemens and SAP, which is developing a Comprehensive data ecosystem for German industry.

Following Prof Niemeyer's move to the Supervisory Board of Uhlmann Pac-Systeme GmbH, Michael Mrachacz (CSO), Cristian Reiter (CTO) and Alexander Schöllhorn (CFO) will take over the management of the company. Alexander Schöllhorn will also be responsible for the CFO position of the Uhlmann Group.

In addition to his role at the Uhlmann Group, Prof Niemeyer is active in various associations, including the VDMA's Research and Innovation Committee and the Board of Trustees of the Impuls Foundation. In this way, the Uhlmann Group also contributes its expertise to macroeconomic initiatives.
