At Pharmapack Europe 2026 in Paris, Faller Packaging will be presenting sustainable and functional packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. The focus will be on combined folding carton insert concepts, fibre-based trays as a plastic alternative and pre-assembled packaging for complex applications.

Faller Packaging is using Pharmapack Europe, which takes place on 21 and 22 January 2026 in Paris, as a platform to present the latest developments in the field of sustainable pharmaceutical packaging. At stand 4G54 in hall 4.0, the manufacturer will be showcasing solutions that, according to the company, are designed to reduce both the use of materials and the effort involved in packaging processes.

Combined folding carton with integrated leaflet

The focus is on a packaging solution in which the leaflet is automatically glued into the folding carton using hot melt. According to Faller Packaging, this eliminates the need for separate feeding systems and feeders, which should lead to shorter set-up times, less downtime and reduced inspection work. Users only have to check and store one product. The solution is available in Basic, Comfort and Excellence versions and can be integrated into existing packaging lines without major adjustments.

Fibre-based trays as a replacement for plastic and aluminium

Faller Packaging will also be exhibiting a moulded fibre tray designed as an alternative to plastic or aluminium inlays. The tray is made of a lightweight, stable and recyclable fibre material and is designed as a mono-material to improve sortability in recycling. According to the company, existing plastic trays can be replaced almost identically without compromising on product protection. Structured inserts and combined solutions are available for sensitive applications, such as active ingredients or electronic components.

Pre-assembled solutions for complex pharmaceutical products

Another focus is on customised special designs and the pre-packaging service. This is aimed in particular at manufacturers of injection systems, autoinjectors, pens or complex kits. Faller Packaging develops customised packaging solutions that can be integrated into existing processes. According to the company, prefabricated, ready-to-use packaging is provided from phase 3 of clinical trials onwards, which can initially be produced in small quantities and later transferred to automated large-scale production without any adjustments.

Labels and package inserts with safety functions

Faller Packaging will also be presenting adhesive labels and leaflets in Paris, including tamper-evident closure labels in accordance with EN 16679:2014, which contain concealed security features that are only visible under UV light. Here too, the company emphasises the reduced use of materials and recyclable designs. Digital printing is used for package inserts, which should make small print runs economical and shorten lead times.
