Easyfairs Germany opens the trade fair year for intralogistics and packaging at the end of February with Logistics & Automation plus Empack. On 25 and 26 February 2026, around 410 exhibitors from intralogistics, packaging, maintenance and pump and valve technology will present themselves at Messe Dortmund. The focus is on a compact regional trade fair format with short distances, a broad market overview and an extensive supporting programme.
Logistics & Automation is positioned as the first intralogistics trade fair of the year and covers the entire industry spectrum - from conveyor and warehouse technology, automation, robotics and occupational safety to software solutions for warehousing, order picking and shipping. The range is complemented by the integrated Empack, which specifically addresses packaging solutions and packaging technology.
Packaging solutions in focus at Empack
Empack brings numerous exhibitors from the packaging industry to Dortmund. Suppliers of packaging machines, labelling systems, folding cartons, corrugated board and protective packaging as well as container technology will be represented. This themed area is aimed in particular at users from industry and trade who want to find out about the latest packaging solutions, materials and processes.
According to the organiser, the close integration of intralogistics and packaging will enable visitors to the trade fair to take a holistic view of value chains and identify synergies between the two areas.
Specialist programme with a focus on AI, automation and regulation
A central element of the event is the accompanying supporting programme. Expert presentations and discussion formats will address current topics such as artificial intelligence and cyber security in intralogistics, automation and digitalisation as well as regulatory developments. The EU packaging regulation PPWR is also part of the programme and will be discussed from the perspective of the packaging industry.
Practice-oriented offers such as the test area for exoskeletons complement the specialist programme. Visitors can try out various systems and find out about ergonomic support solutions for logistics and packaging processes.
Four trade fairs under one roof
For the first time, Logistics & Automation will take place together with Empack at the same time as maintenance and Pumps & Valves. The trade fair ticket is valid for all four events. According to the organisers, this will provide visitors with additional insights into related technologies and topics, such as the industrial maintenance of intralogistics and packaging technology systems.
In addition to the date in Dortmund, Easyfairs is already referring to the follow-up event in Hamburg, where Logistics & Automation and Empack will take place on 2 and 3 June 2026.
