The aluminium tube manufacturer Alltub Group has acquired the Italian producer Tubettificio La Metallurgica. The acquisition expands the company's production base in Europe and strengthens its position in the aluminium packaging market.
The Amsterdam-based global packaging specialist Alltub Group has acquired the Italian tube manufacturer Tubettificio La Metallurgica. The company specialises in aluminium tubes for applications in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and industrial sectors and was founded in 1947. With this acquisition, Alltub is expanding its European production structure and, according to its own statements, intends to further expand its delivery capability and customer proximity.
According to Alltub, La Metallurgica's industrial experience complements the Group's existing production network. The aim is to strengthen its presence in the European market for aluminium packaging and increase its flexibility in relation to international brand owners. At the same time, the integration is intended to consolidate Alltub's position as a provider of sustainable aluminium packaging.
Alltub claims to be a global leader in aluminium packaging and supplies brands in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food and industrial segments. The group operates production sites in Europe and Mexico. Tubettificio La Metallurgica was previously known primarily as a European supplier of high-quality aluminium tubes and has long-standing customer relationships in the packaging market.
