Ishida will be exhibiting three fully integrated packaging lines for processing meat and poultry at IFFA 2019, as well as an X-ray inspection system.
The packaging technology specialist for the food and non-food sectors describes the "Ishida Orbicote". In contrast to conventional systems for processing fresh poultry, the already dosed product is marinated here, according to Ishida. Thanks to its efficient processes, the machine reduces the Marinade consumption. The marinated products are finally placed neatly in the trays and a Traysealer of the "QX-775 Flex" type seals the packaging at a speed of 15 cycles per minute.
The weight-accurate packaging of Meat and poultry fillets of different sizes and shapes provides another line. With the Foreign body control The IX-G2 X-ray inspection system reliably detects even very small bone splinters. The following "RobotGrader" the weighing and filling of the fillets.
Packaging pieces of different weights with one system
A pick-and-place system and special cutting technology are used to pack the product pieces of different weights in trays with fixed weights or in bulk crates. The next line component is a QX-1100-SDL traysealer with two independent lanes. The high-performance machine simultaneously seals MAP and Skinpack trays. All packaging is controlled by the "Ishida AirScan" for leaks and finally labelled.
The central element of the third line is the "Ishida FlexGrader". The packaging system with high-performance infeed sorts products of different sizes according to quantity or weight. This is combined with a Checkweigher combined with a modular distribution system.
Newly developed X-ray inspection system and multihead weigher
The newly developed X-ray inspection system IX-EN-5592 will be on show at IFFA. It can be used to check large and heavy products or collection containers for many types of foreign objects. Another innovation is the Multihead weigher "CCW-RV" in open-frame design. The waterproof scales are particularly suitable for meat and poultry. The open design makes it easily accessible.
