With the takeover of the French paper mill Cartonnerie Jean FG, Gmund Papier has secured additional capacity in the recycled paper sector and can now produce on a total of four paper machines.
Since 17 January 2022, the paper mill has belonged to Cartonnerie Jean FG, based in the heart of France, to Gmund Papier. The paper manufacturer from Gmund am Tegernsee has thus secured Additional considerable capacities for the production of ecological cartonboard qualities on a 100 per cent recycled basis and is continuously expanding its expertise in promising solutions made from alternative raw materials.
The goal of Gmund PaperThe aim is to become the specialist for particularly ecological and successful packaging applications in Europe. That's why they were looking for a manufacturer with exceptionally environmentally friendly production and a many years of experience in the field of coloured recycled papers wanted.
In light of the fact that Gmund Papier is currently launching „Gmund Hemp“, the German Sustainability Award 2022 this acquisition is the logical step into the future.
