At K 2022, J. Schmalz GmbH will be showcasing solutions for the manual and automated handling of granulates through to finished parts. The company's solutions make it easier to repack or feed conveyor belts with vacuum lifting aids.
With vacuum lifting aids such as the JumboFlex 35 or the JumboSprint 65, the J. Schmalz GmbH The two tube lifters make handling easier for workers, for example when repacking or feeding conveyor belts. Both tube lifters are on show at the trade fair with Suction pads especially for handling bags, even with heavy creasing, equipped. While the JumboFlex is designed for one-handed and fast movement of loads of up to 35 kilograms, the strength of the Sprint variant lies in its large load capacity of up to 300 kilograms. Depending on the required reach, both systems are attached to a slewing or suspension crane system.
If the hall layout or the statics do not permit direct ceiling installation, the company will be showing the K 2022 an alternative: the KBG modular crane gantry. The modular system consists of just twelve components, which makes the Configuration, delivery and assembly simplified and accelerated. The buyer simply dowels the scaffolding, which consists of at least two gates, into the floor and thus has a safe mount for the SRA aluminium suspension crane system designed in accordance with DIN EN 13001. At the trade fair, the VacuMaster Comfort 125 with 90° slewing function, for example for loading machining centres, and the JumboErgo 45 with the FM double suction pad, especially for plastic sheets, will be suspended from the crane gantry.

In addition to the manual handling systems, the company will also be exhibiting Components and systems for automated processes in the plastics industry. This includes several robot cells that demonstrate the use of the modular gripper system PXT and the end-of-arm ecosystem MATCH. Both systems are designed for lightweight robots and enable flexible automation. With the PXT modular system, users can customise the gripper for their task from standard components. With the MATCH system, the Robot automatically changes the optimum mechanical or vacuum gripper in each case. This is made possible by standardised mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and vacuum interfaces. In addition to the vacuum generator, the SLG lightweight gripper also demonstrates its maximum flexibility. This is because it can be ordered easily and individually via an online configurator, even for complex workpieces.

Another highlight is the new Compact Pump GCPi. The abbreviation stands for a Powerful vacuum generator with purely electric suction and ventilation function. For particularly fast cycles, Schmalz has added the LQE electric 3/2-way compact valve to the GCPi. This provides the user with a compressed air-free vacuum system with the performance of conventional ejector solutions. Schmalz will also be showing the SFF and SFB1 suction pads made of HT1 material. The flat suction pads can also withstand high temperatures and can therefore remove hot plastic parts directly from the machine.
