Hoffmann Neopac has a Binding purchase offer for its metals division and is examining the sale of the division to a private, internationally established company with a strong focus on metal packaging. The new owner would Take over production site in Dronten (Netherlands) with all employees and continue existing customer contracts. Operations at the Thun site would be closed, which would affect 75 employees.
Consultation procedure initiated
The potential sale is currently Subject of a three-week consultation process, which has just begun. During this period, the staff committee has the opportunity to propose alternatives to the sale and/or closure of production at the Thun site in order to minimise the impact on the employees affected. According to the company, further details on the potential sale will be announced once the consultation process has been completed.
The Hoffmann Neopac Group, based in Thun, Switzerland, is a manufacturer of metal and plastic packaging. The company operates six production plants in Europe, the USA and India and specialises in packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and consumer goods industries.
