At the Flexography Congress in Dijon, France, Coveris received two awards for its packaging films. In the category ‘Shrink Films other than Polyethylene’ the company achieved a silver award and a bronze award in the ‘Non-Shrink Polyethylene Films’ category.
The contest is organised by the French Association of Flexographic Technology (ATF Flexo) and is the only annual event in France that acknowledges the best flexographic artwork. The silver winning product in the ‘Shrink Films other than Polyethylene’ category is a shrink sleeve printed for the yoghurt brand YOP, part of the Yoplait Group. This promotional sleeve was produced for a limited edition of chocolate hazelnut flavoured yoghurt. The sleeve was applied to a white 500ml PET bottle with a distinctive shape.
The bronze award-winning print in the ‘Non-Shrink Polyethylene Films’ category was produced to decorate a 6 litre metal beer barrel for the Adnams Ghost Ship brand. This is a PE stretch sleeve, extruded at Coveris’ site in Firminy. Florent Laffitte, Development and Methods Manager at Coveris Angoulême, was present at the awards ceremony.
“We are very pleased with these two prizes, which highlights both our printing expertise and the commitment of our teams working across different facilities, from extrusion at the Firminy site to printing and conversion at our Angoulême site. It’s a collective effort and we are really proud our achievements.”
