Safe handling of pharmaceutical applications: Development for vials and bottles

Many years of successful collaboration with customers from the pharmaceutical industry served as the basis for the development of the new LSS labeller, which is designed for glass or plastic containers with a diameter of between 14 and 35 millimetres and a minimum height of 30 millimetres. It fulfils all the special requirements of the pharmaceutical industry.

It fulfils all the special requirements of the pharmaceutical industry.

The user-friendly machine labels up to 250 vials or bottles per minute and works inline and as a stand-alone solution. Thanks to its small footprint and modular design, the labelling solution can be easily integrated into existing production environments.

The LSS labeller achieves maximum efficiency not only during operation, but also during format changes, cleaning and maintenance. Format parts for different product sizes are available as an option, and label printing is possible with Thermal transfer printers or laser possible. A height-adjustable version is also available. The labelling solution is compatible with most common printers and lasers. The vials and bottles can be fed from a tray via a turntable and a conveyor belt or directly from an upstream machine in inline mode.

User-friendly user interface

The labeller is operated via a user interface Intuitive operation. Batches can be started and stopped from here and variable data can be sent to the printer and visual inspection. The main user interface is located on the operator side of the machine, the additional duplicate at the service position. Format changes are convenient as no complex mechanical adjustments have to be carried out manually. At the user interface, a Preset format and only a few format parts need to be replaced mechanically. All components that need to be positioned are located on motorised spindles. Adjustment is automatic as soon as a format is loaded. The user interface enables the entire machine status to be monitored and also displays alarms.

Quality control of labelling and packaging

On the monitor, a shift register allows you to Visual inspection of the printed image and label ID before it is attached to the bottle or vial. Faulty labels are rejected. Once the label has been applied, a new visual inspection is carried out to check the correct position of the label and the presence of the cap.
