Anniversary at Loesch: Company through the ages

Loesch Verpackungstechnik is celebrating its 100th anniversary. At FachPack, the system manufacturer is therefore exhibiting historical and modern packaging machines, including a retrofit machine from 1935.

The system manufacturer Loesch Verpackungstechnik is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. For the confectionery packaging specialist, the presentation will be centred around this anniversary. Historical and modern packaging machines will be shown in parallel: from a retrofit machine from 1935 to the current portfolio.

One such restored machine - one of the world's first high-performance fold wrapping machines for classic sheet packaging with two packaging materials afrom the year 1935 - Loesch will now be presenting the new system directly next to the system manufacturer's current models.

„The basic principles of chocolate packaging are the same today as they were a few decades ago. However, a wide range of improvements have ensured that modern machines can package the products much more efficiently. faster, more effectively and with less labour packaging. Nevertheless, even in our current models, a main shaft, which is now also electronic, still controls almost all movement sequences in the machine and thus ensures reliable quality.“

The eventful and successful history of the company also takes centre stage.

Innovative by tradition

The company's 100th anniversary will kick off at FachPack. Across various events and festivities, the anniversary year will then take place in May 2020 under the motto „A new era begins“ will culminate at interpack. The future of the company and the expansion of its position as an innovator and market leader will take centre stage here. „To be able to shape the future, it is important to know your history. In order to remain successful, we will continue to invest in the development of our three main pillars: chocolate, chewing gum and confectionery as well as cereals,“ emphasises Olaf Piepenbrock, Managing Partner of the Loesch parent company of the same name
