Under the patronage of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the German Packaging Institute (dvi) will once again be looking for the best packaging solutions and innovations from 1 March 2019. Companies, institutions and individuals from Germany and abroad can submit their best products until 30 June 2019.
At the cross-material showcase, an independent jury of experts honours the best innovations from the packaging value chain. The solutions can already be on the market or submitted as a prototype.
The competition is aimed at designers, developers, manufacturers and users. The 10 categories of the German Packaging Award are each based on specific criteria and range from machinery and technology to cost-effectiveness, logistics and material flow. Trainees and students can take part free of charge in the „Young talent“ category.
German Packaging Award in Gold
In addition to the German Packaging Award the Gold Award awarded. Since 2016, the jury has also been honouring particularly successful solutions from among the packaging award winners with this award.
The prizes will be awarded to the winners of the German Packaging Award at a special industry event at FachPack 2019 in Nuremberg.
