The philosophy behind ProAmpac’s sustainable products offerings

Flexible packaging has a lot of benefits to it. It takes up less space than rigid packaging like glass, boxes or cans and can be transported more efficiently that way. Furthermore it is less suspectible to damaging. Sal Pellingra explained at interpack 2023 how ProAmpac is designing the packaging solution to be even more sustainably efficient.

Sal is VP Global Package Design, Applications and Business Development for ProAmpac and is a technical resource for packaging technology and design for ProAmpac and its customers. He is a frequent industry speaker and trade journal contributor both in North America and abroad. Prior to ProAmpac, Sal spent 25 years with the ExxonMobil Films Business working in product development, marketing development, and as the Americas Market Segment Manager for four core market segments. Sal also holds 20 US patents and, among other honors, has received a Global Technology Award from ExxonMobil Chemical Company. He is also an Adjunct Professor in Packaging at the University of Cincinnati.
